Community Service

Rules to abide by while doing Community Service

The Nifty Thrifty · Graham Crisis Center · Food Pantry

  • Individuals completing community service hours must enter through the GCC office entrance and sign in and out using your “chit-sheet.” This is essential for tracking your required hours. If you forget to sign in or out, those hours will not be recorded and will not count. Additionally, if you misplace your “chit-sheet,” your hours will be permanently lost, and we will not be held responsible for lost items.
  • You are required to sign out if you intend to leave the building. For instance, if you take a lunch break, you must sign out. Leaving the building without signing out will result in your hours not being counted.
  • Community service hours are available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9am – 3pm. If you wish to complete hours on a Saturday, prior approval from the Director is necessary. Minors participating in community service must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
  • Please use your time wisely by engaging in activities such as cleaning, sorting, or organizing. If you are working in the donation center, shopping while fulfilling your community service is strictly prohibited.
  • NO STEALING. Our facilities are monitored by recording cameras. If you are caught stealing, the police will be contacted, charges will be filed, and you will be banned from our premises.
  • Refrain from using any foul language, making derogatory remarks or gestures, or threatening others or staff.
  • The use of tobacco or vaping products is not permitted within the building.
  • Your primary point of contact while working in the Food Pantry is Stormy. If you are working in the Nifty Thrifty, your point of contact will be Darcie.

If you have any questions, concerns, or complaints, please consult your assigned point of contact first. Should you require additional assistance, please reach out to the Executive Assistant, Shylee.
